I'm obsessed with Target right now. Summer sales are my stalking season. Big time.
First, let me start by saying that this is not a sponsored post. I'm fairly certain Target has absolutely no idea who I am. Well, maybe some of the local employees do since I've been spending so much time there lately.
This past Sunday I spent the afternoon shopping at no less than 4 different Target stores. Why so many? Because it's their summer baby and toy clearance.
If you're a regular here, you probably know my addiction to deals. Heck, I took my breast pump with me out shopping on Black Friday since I wasn't willing to miss out on any doorbusters.
Here's the deal – every June/July, Target starts clearancing out their kids toys and baby gear. I almost can't stand the bargain hunting excitement.
What kind of deals can you get?
Take this Sit & Stand double stroller. It was marked down 30%.
I'm not in the market for a stroller right now, but I do have my eye on one big item for Levi – a new carseat. In particular, I'd like to get a Britax carseat. I just don't love the price tag. I spotted this one marked down 30% too.
So why did I go to 4 different stores?
Not all Target stores follow the same markdown schedule. The same Britax Roundabout 50 carseat was priced differently at each of the stores. 2 had it at the $109 price shown above, 1 had it for $135, and the other still had it on the shelf at full price.
Why am I still waiting to buy the carseat?
In my obsessive Target stalking, I've learned a thing or two over the years. I know that if they don't sell what's on the shelf, they will typically mark the item down further the following week to move it out of their inventory. Two of the stores I went to had 3 of the Britax seats in stock. It's a gamble, but I'm waiting until next week to see if they mark them down further. If they do, I'll snatch one up. I just hope they don't sell out before I get one.
