#GracoSafety Car Seat Event Recap

Lindsey from Like It or Lurv It was kind enough to stand in for me at a Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 event last weekend. I’m totally bummed I wasn’t able to make it there myself, but I’m really glad she was able to fill in!

I had the pleasure of working with Stephanie from The Leaky Sippy at an event for Graco on Saturday at our local Babies R Us store. Mommies and Daddies The event was to share the amazing features of the Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40. When I say amazing, I mean AH-MAZING. My kids are a little old for a car seat at 8 and 14 years old, but I know plenty of pregnant and new moms who would benefit from this car seat. It is the ONLY rear-facing car seat that can go from newborn to 2 years (or 40 pounds).

The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 – the first and only newborn to two-year infant car seat that actually grows with your baby from four pounds all the way up to 40 pounds. The car seat is designed for a parent on the go. The infant car seat can be easily removed from the base and used as a carrier when the infant is small, providing portability and convenience so you can easily move your infant in and out of the car without disturbing them.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recently made the recommendation to keep all children in rear-facing car seats until the age of 2. Graco set out to make this product so parents can keep infants rear facing longer while still keeping them comfortable.

Graco Snugride Car Seat

The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 goes up to 40lbs. It also has a really cool feature for those kids who get longer faster. There are 8 different positions for the adjustable base, so you can slide it back further as your child grows – giving more leg room. And it has a really cute little footrest for baby feet! The footrest comes up out of the base, and has two little feet imprinted on it. It’s just kind of adorable.

At the event, we explained all the cool safety features to expectant mommies, and a few daddies. They were so excited to check out the car seat and also have a chance to WIN one. We actually had TWO car seats to give away. One of the mommies was expecting triplets! She was really hoping to win, just so that ONE of the car seats would be ready!

The winners were thrilled with winning this awesome car seat. I was a little jealous, I wanted one for myself. Even though I don’t plan on having a baby anytime soon. Or in the future. But just in case…

Our first car seat went to first-time parents. Aren’t they cute?

Winner 2

Our second SnugRide car seat went to Grandma and Mommy – they are excited for the new arrival, and the new car seat!

Most of the parents we talked to were not aware of the new recommendations for rear-facing infants.  I was so glad that we were able to share this new information with them.  It means that their children will be THAT much safer while riding in a car.  It also means that they can now share that information with others!  I call that a huge success!

How long did you/do you plan to rear-face your child?

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Graco. The opinions and text are all mine. Well, in this case, Lindsey’s.

  1. I rear faced my child for a year. I didn’t hear about keeping them facing that way until we’d already switched.

  2. Tanya Park says:

I have 4 boys the older 2 are teenagers so only rear faced for 1 year since that was the recomendation the younger 2 are 2.5 yr old twins and stayed rear face till 2 after i switched i read that they now say till 4yrs! oh well i tried to do the right thing.

  3. I absolutely love your blog and find most of your post’s to be exactly what I’m looking for.

Do you offer guest writers to write content for yourself? I
wouldn’t mind creating a post or elaborating on many of the subjects you write about here. Again, awesome website!
