Disney Trailer: Moana

Does the ocean call to you?

Disney Moana Coming November 2016

I don’t know about you, but I feel like the ocean is always calling me.

Unfortunately, I live in MN.

Lots of lakes, more beachline than California, but no oceans.

Sad panda.

Disney recently released the first trailer for the movie, and I have to admit, I have mixed feelings about it.

On the one hand, I’m bummed there isn’t much of Moana in the teaser. She’s the next Disney princess, so I’m interested to see what she’s all about.

On the other hand, I get frustrated when it feels like movies give away all the good parts by showing so much in the trailer. In that sense, I’m glad I’m still left waiting. There’s quite a bit of time between now and November, so I’m sure we’ll see more of her as the movie release gets closer.

I haven’t shown Levi yet, but I think he’ll be excited to go with me. He loves Disney movies just as much as I do.

It’s a good thing he can’t read quite yet though. Otherwise I’m sure he’d be telling me all the time that the ocean is calling him 🙂

About Moana

From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder.

Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity.
