My first thought when Baby Babu sent me their one size pocket diaper to test out was that it would be a perfect diaper to go with a honey bee Halloween costume.
It’s definitely cute enough to be worn enough every day, but seriously, wouldn’t it complete a bee costume perfectly? Or maybe a referee costume. Don’t worry, if you’re not into bright, bold stripes, they have lots of other patterns and prints available.
The Dirty Details:
Day Use: 4 Bums Up
Overnight Use: 3 Bums Up
Ease of Use: 4 Bums Up
Quality: 4 Bums Up
Overall: 4 Bums Up
Daytime Use:
The Baby Babu pocket diaper has a few features I really love.
The double leg gussets are the biggest seller for me, because they help contain messes really well. Since Levi is a toddler and has more solid stools, that isn’t as big of a deal as it used to be, but I remember EBF poo all too well, and if I ever have another one, I’m making sure all my dipes have the double gussets.
For daytime use, we didn’t have any issues. I don’t bother to snap in my inserts – I don’t get the point. I’ve never had problems with inserts bunching up inside the diaper, BUT I also only use one insert for Levi. I think it would be beneficial to help keep everything in place if I was using two inserts or stuffing an extra soaker in.
Overnight Use:
Like most microfiber diapers, the Baby Babu just didn’t cut it for us at night. Levi soaked through and woke up wet. No issues with naptime, though.
Ease of Use:
You guys know I’m not a fan of the elastic back (I prefer the envelope style). Since this has openings on both sides (both elastic AND envelope), I was still able to shake out my wet insert without touching it. (Don’t forget: I don’t snap my inserts. If you snap your insert, you will have to touch it to unsnap it).
Quality:
The Baby Babu had great stitching, the PUL was good quality, and there are plenty of snaps so that you are able to get a good fit on your child. I think it’s a very well-made diaper for the price ($11.99).

Double gussets?? You’re speaking my language!! My little guy always does better with the double gussets because he has a big booty and skinny legs
I love these diapers although my baby hasn’t been born yet I think it might be one of my faves in my stash so far. When I first purchased the cheetah fuzzy the first thing I thought was that is was an extremely well made diaper like Jen said. I also love the double leg gussest as well. I am thinking of pairing this dipe with a bamboo and microfiber insert during night use. Would love to win one of these!
Looks like your standard China cheapie/relabeled Alva. OK diaper but you may as well get the Alva label and pay less…
I love this diaper has double gussets. I have another diaper made like this on the inside and it’s one of my favorite diapers.
Happy start of the week and thanks for the giveaway! We love pocket diapers!

I love the double leg gussets as my son is EBF and well I don’t think I need to go in to graphic detail.

I like that it has openings in the back and front.
I love that the inserts actually agitate themselves out in the wash!
Double leg gussets! Still have a couple weeks before solids come into play, so I am deep in love with the dlg keeping in my man’s ebf poo
